A Special Message from the Grade Two Students in Ms. Thumm’s class,
As part of an upcycle action project evolving from our weeklong experience at Campus Calgary Open Minds Zoo School earlier this year, we request the support of our community to make donations. We are hoping to make a difference by upcycling materials to sell by raising funds to support the environment, nature, biodiversity, animals and their habitats. We continue to research and investigate related causes that we hope to provide our assistance to and are passionate about. To help us, you can donate used crayons and gently used bake ware molds: cookie and muffin trays in a variety of shapes, metal or oven safe silicon. We will begin accepting the requested materials starting next week, and continually after Spring Break. Stay tuned for when our finished products will be available to purchase, and which cause(s) we decide to donate the funds. Thank you so very much for your anticipated understanding and assistance in the endeavour. The Earth thanks you, and so do we J Hello students, Ms. Young and I were trying to develop your photos over the weekend for your extraordinary photography portfolios. We ran into a snag, when we viewed the folders to print your choices there were quite a few students who hadn't selected photos yet. What a surprise to us, as that is what the checklist was for! If you have time, look through your photos and add your Day 1,2 ,3 selections (2 from each day) and your cover choice. You should have 7 in total. If you don't have a chance to do this, we will spend some time (20 minutes or so) on Monday at school. Conferences are this week - Student LedGo to our school website and click on "My CBE ACCOUNT" below teacher blogs button/icon. Then log-in to book a time. Conference times are:
