It was so nice to meet another time with many students and their families for conferences. I appreciate your time! An interactive site to work on multiplication basic facts.By the end of grade 4 students should know basic facts up to 9x 9. Knowing these facts helps students to efficiently solve multi-step problems. I just stumbled across a site that has a pre-assessment and also does self-correcting for students. At conferences, some parents mentioned they would like to help their child with these math skills, so perhaps this is a site for you: CLICK HERE TO TRY Earbuds for learning:Students please bring in a labelled bag with your name on it. Inside the bag should be a pair of small earphones or earbuds that you may access when we use technology. If you don't have a spare pair, they can be purchased inexpensively at a dollar store. Thanks to 3 FANTASTIC moms for helping us learn about Wheels & Levers today! We appreciated your time and patience ladies!Scientist Jill came to help us learn through 5 stations with levers, gears, pulleys and other supplies that made up simple machines! Students should share their 3 new words, 3 new learnings and 3 questions you still have. We will continue this learning in the new year. Our focus for science continues to be Waste in our World until the winter break. PLEASE BRING IN A HAND TOWEL TO USE for the next few weeks. Pond Safety! Now that the weather is getting colder, please be careful around the pond. There is a thin and unpredictable surface this time of year. On December 9th we will have an expert here to remind and teach us about being safe in our natural area. PLEASE BE CAREFUL! We are in need of volunteers for our wool and needle art workshop on Thursday, December 1st! 8:30 - noon. PLEASE LET Mrs. Ross know if you can help out? Please bring in a twig the thickness of your pinky finger. Our students and staff will share our first winter concert on Wednesday, December 14th and Thursday, December 15th at 6:30 pm. Our class (room 128) will be part of both nights....stay tuned for more.
